Going Back To The Garden

Everyone knows about the BIBLE, whether or not they believe in it is another issue altogether.

Even if you don't believe in it, you know what it says, though, don't you? Especially that familiar account of how GOD created a certain man and w0-man who, for the moment, shall remain nameless. For now, we'll call them The First Couple; not meant in the Presidential sense, of course, but, in the Providential sense.

The disastrous falling away of The First Couple from the GOD of all the universe still has society reeling today. Trust me, even if you don't believe it, you are still being impacted by it.

Yet, we have have spent far too much time talking about "Apple-gate" without taking a look at life in the pre-apple state. To have a clear"er" understanding of what GOD meant and to have a foundational understanding of Supernatural Marriage, we have to go back to the Garden. Keep in mind, we are after the roles of man and wo-man (aka husband and wife). You will not understand, let alone experience, Supernatural Marriage if you cannot master the understanding of the roles.

I will explore the roles and functions the man and his wo-man in my next post. Stay tuned.

Man Takes A Wife, But GOD Makes A Wife

Adam represented a complete human being. When the GOD of the universe breathed the Spirit of Life into Adam's clay vessel (body), GOD did not withhold anything. GOD breathed into Adam the totality of all the HE intended to be contained by and represented within mankind. For all intents and purposes, the GOD of the universe gave birth to Adam.

Yet, when GOD made a wife for Adam, HE did not start with fresh clay and HE did not breathe a second breath into her. HE sculpted her from Adam's already formed body and, she shared the same breath that GOD had breathed into him. Between the now two of them, they reflected all that GOD wanted represented in and through the human race, and in the respective expressions and forms GOD intended. (More about roles of the man and w0-man in future post). Suffice it to say, GOD makes the wife from the husband who is to take her as his wife. They are to share not merely an earthly existence, they are to share the same breath.

It is the breath of GOD that fills the lungs of their union and invigorates them (a man and his wo-man) for the lifelong journey of living in the miracle of Supernatural Marriage. It is the breath of GOD that brings true unity (oneness) so that, by all accounts, the two are nearer to GOD and as near to being one, as is possible, at the time of their parting from this world.

Supernatural Marriage is based on the knowledge that the GOD of the Universe is not arbitrary, or haphazard, or reckless in HIS methods. It is based on the knowledge that HE is perfectly accurate and precise, whether in the execution of the minutest details or, the greatest plans. HE mapped out in creation the exact roles and functions of male and female in society, and within the convenantal union of marriage. By universal law and decree, and as it pertains to relationships between human beings, the GOD of the universe makes a wo-man/wife expressly for the man HE intends to take her for a wife.

And The Two Shall Become One: Solving The Mystery Of Supernatural Marriage

There is something truly divine, excuse me, Supernatural, in the notion that two seemingly individual persons can, in truth, become one; but, truth it is. In fact, if the two do not become one in spirit, soul, and body, the GOD of the universe does not qualify it as a true marriage.

Universal law dictates that two, once joined together by GOD, cannot be (rather than should not) be separated.

The power of the covenantal union loosely-termed by humans as marriage, is so far beyond what the feeble human mind can ever conceive. Marriage is not merely an act to be engaged in. It is not just a progression of a relationship to some arbitrary person you meet on the street, in the bar, at the club, at the gym, or even at church. Marriage is a spiritual force proceeding from the GOD of the Universe to unite two persons (a man and his w0-man); it is the bringing together of the puzzle pieces to form a beautifully complete picture. It is the spiritual force of the GOD of the Universe upon two persons (a man and his w0-man) to establish an ordinal government representative of the universal (spiritual) one.

Marriage, in its purest and intended form, is the spiritual force emanating from the GOD of the Universe to "naturally" bring together what (who), Supernaturally, was always together.

It is not your job or mine to "find" someone to become one with/to marry with our grossly flawed concept of dating that is more aptly termed "test driving" relationships. It is the man's responsibility to seek out his heart, which can only be found in the wo-man the GOD of the Universe created for him and from him. It is the wo-man/wife's job, to be in the process of preparing herself to be found by her one and only.

Our misunderstanding and/or self-serving interpretation of this process explains why the divorce rate, oddly enough, in secular and religious circles, is out-of-this-world. We have, for far too long, taken upon ourselves the mating process that can only be completed by the GOD of the Universe who made man (male) and then, in a singularly profound and strategic act, took his wife from his very own rib (heart).

What Exactly Is Supernatural Marriage?

Ok. It's a fair question. Don't you think? What exactly is Supernatural Marriage?

Supernatural Marriage is our ability (male and female) to understand and embrace our respective, GOD-given roles in such a way as to have every marital union transcend legality and obligation to become a true reflection of HIS Perfection.

In a nutshell, Supernatural Marriage, is making sure that every marriage reveal the true beauty and wholeness of the GOD of the universe.

So, then, the second question begs to be asked, Is that what you want?

If it is, then join me on this journey. It promises to be nothing less than astonishing. Nothing less than miraculous. Nothing less than SUPERNATURAL. Because I can assure you this, what has been and will be revealed can never be accomplished without the GOD of the Universe coming to bear down upon it. For this I am grateful, and you should be, too. Not just because HE is GOD of the Universe, but more importantly, HE is merciful and gracious and loving enough to want us to get it right.

The human interpretation of marriage failed a long time ago. There are some basic principles and concepts about manhood, womanhood, husband-hood, and wife-hood, that have eluded us far too long. Either they have eluded us or we have just plain ignored them, whatever shoe fits, please wear it. But, one thing is for certain, it is time for us to stop trying to wear one another's shoes.

GOD designed the man with his role, purpose, position and destiny squarely in mind. In fact, man's destiny was conceived. He was then designed by GOD to conform to it. Every man must understand from GOD it means to be a man. Although the vessels look different and each man has a specific assignment unique to him, the role of the man is fixed in GOD'S Heart and Mind. Likewise, every wo-man (taken from or proceeding out of the man) was designed to conform to the man GOD took her from. Contrary to modern practices, husbands, you cannot be husband to just any wo-man, you can only be husband to your wo-man. In the same way, wives, you can only be wife to your husband.

W0-man is a completing part, not a replacement part. What GOD saw fit to take from the man (Adam), HE also, in HIS Infinite Wisdom, saw fit to give back to HIM in a Helper, a Help-Meet (fit, customized, designed) especially for him. Every wo-man's heart then, by GOD'S design, is constantly crying out for her husband (more on this in a future post).

We have longed for marriage, yet not understood enough about GOD or HIS purposes in creating us to be as successful at it. Regardless of whether we are married, have been married, or desire to be married, now is the time that we are being called to a higher, yet deeper place of wisdom and understanding of one of the most fundamental (if not THE most fundamental) components of Supernatural wisdom of any sort, that being, the fundamental of marriage.

Marriages are not made in the sexual aspects of coming together...believe it or not, this is the least common denominator. Anybody can do this and, in fact, anybody is. The wisdom of GOD, however and as always, demands something much more simple and something eternally more profound. Supernatural Marriage will never be defined by how many years you lived with someone or how many lives you brought into the world. There are too many people who can do this just on sheer human willpower, which is NOT Supernatural.

GOD'S definition of marriage is based on one thing and this one thing, alone:

Did the two become one (spirit, soul, and body)?

This, and this alone, is at the root of the destiny for human marriage and the fulfillment of the plan of the GOD of the universe in and through it.

The purpose, and may I say, destiny of this blog is to get to the heart of that matter, with the hope and expectation that manifestations of the miraculous will begin to overtake our lives and our marriages (those that are and those that are to be).
